John C. DePrez, IV practices in many areas of the law with a devoted concentration to those individuals facing criminal charges. John is an experienced criminal trial attorney who began his career as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Marion County, Indiana where he gained valuable trial experience handling hundreds of cases on a weekly basis. John returned to his hometown and has been representing individuals charged with crimes ranging from traffic tickets, DUI, Burglary and Murder. John is a hands-on litigator that provides compassionate representation for all of his clients no matter the situation they are facing.

John is also a community leader having served on the Shelbyville Central School Board of Trustees since 1996, Shelby County Attorney since 1994, President of Shelby County Community Corrections Advisory Board since 1993, and the Forest Hill Cemetery Association Board since 1991. John lives in Shelbyville with his wife, Mary, and daughter, Hayden.
