Madeline Garcia
Madeline Garcia is a general practice attorney primarily working with immigration law, estate planning, criminal defense, civil cases, landlord-tenant matters, and personal injury. She is also a Public Defender for Decatur County.
Madeline holds her J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where she was the 2024 J.D. “Voice of the Class” Commencement Speaker, Vice President of the Student Bar Association, and the American Bar Association Student Representative. She also held leadership in the Latin American Law Student Association, Gephardt Institute for Civic Engagement, and Latin Graduate Student Association. She served as a MarshallBrennan Fellow for Constitutional Literacy, teaching basic constitutional principles to St. Louis high school students. Prior to law school, Madeline graduated with Honors and Highest Distinction from the Indiana University O’Neill School of Public and Environmental AƯairs. She was a Herbert Presidential Scholar, Hudson and Holland Scholar, and Hutton Honors Scholar. Madeline enjoys community service.
Prior to joining the firm, she volunteered with Catholic Charities’ Refugee and Asylum Outreach and currently serves with various legal clinics across Central Indiana. She also mentors current law students, as well as coaches the Avon High School Speech and Debate Team. In her free time, Madeline enjoys photography, hiking, going to concerts, and trying new restaurants around Central Indiana.
